Wednesday 1st December 2021
Hello everyone,
The long-awaited Christmas season is finally upon us with big turkey dinners, decked halls, snow (hopefully) and comfy times with family and friends surely approaching! But along with this comes the stress of scrambling to get some last minute Christmas shopping done and many sleepless nights spent worrying about whether that Next Day Delivery you paid extra for will stay true to its name!
In our most recent blog, we thought up a few ideas for sewing Christmas gifts, so be sure to give that a read if you need any additional help in knowing what to get!
Christmas time can be quite hectic, but with it also comes a sense of relief as you spend more time with family and loved ones – my family and I always like taking this time to make decorations for the tree and make gingerbread biscuits together, in addition to watching festive films and TV shows.
But with the new year shortly approaching, new things are happening at Sew-Drops too! Be sure to check your inboxes for the Winter ‘21 newsletter, which will be mailed to all subscribers starting today! If you want to keep up to date with all things Sew-Drops. Visit our homepage, scroll to the Newsletter section and type in your email to join our mailing list.
Craft Cotton Co.’s ‘Winter Berry’ collection has arrived and our fabric collections are now complete for this year! We will soon be updating our Coming Soon section to reveal the first 2 x fabric collections which will be arriving at Sew-Drops in Spring 2022!
IMPORTANT INFORMATION – The cut-off date for all last-minute Christmas orders this month will be Sunday 19th December 2021 at 12 noon, with our final dispatch date being Monday 20th December 2021. It is worth noting that this date is when it leaves us and goes to the Royal Mail postal service, so we can’t promise it’ll reach you in time for Christmas as it is out of our hands – best to order sooner rather than later to avoid this!
Any orders placed after the 20th of December will be dispatched from Wednesday 29th December 2021, but this date is subject to change.
We will also be taking some well-deserved time off to put our feet up and celebrate the festivities, so we will be closed from Christmas Eve through Boxing Day. Orders will still be able to be placed and functionality will remain as normal, though we will only be checking emails after the dates listed above.
We’d also like to take this opportunity to reflect on the events of this year, both the highs and the lows that have made 2021 the year it was for Sew-Drops. We have been getting a lot of local recognition and have started using Zoom to not only meet with sewing groups, but to take a dressmaking course lasting six weeks to expand on my sewing skills!
We have also started looking at room rental for our plan to start a sewing group in our local area – hopefully in time for Spring!
Despite this very tumultuous year, we are very grateful for all of your support as a whole but particularly over the last 12 + months. As you know, the last couple of years have been difficult for most businesses but smaller ones (including ourselves) have been hit the hardest – so we are very appreciative of you choosing to shop with us!
We look forward with nervous anticipation to 2022 and hope to keep on improving our business and offerings in this year, so stay posted for any updates after the New Year!
Thank you all so much for reading this month’s blog. I will be back in January with our first blog of 2022, so until then have a Merry Christmas, enjoy the rest of 2021, and take care of yourselves and those around you.
See you all in the New Year! 🙂
Best wishes,
Rebecca x
