Sew Autumn is Here! – Sept. 2021

Hello Everyone,

This week has seen the slow but sure return of crunchy amber leaves and brisker temperatures, signalling that Autumn is on its way! But chilly and darker mornings aren’t the only things that Autumn is bringing, with many new sewing fabric collections finding their way to Sew-Drops too:

The first ‘Reloved’ collection from Lewis & Irene fabrics is now available at Sew-Drops, featuring refreshed versions of many of their beloved classic designs. The Country Life (Reloved) collection is first in-line for this special treatment! This beautifully designed, rural-themed collection features many quintessentially British wildlife and nature inspired patterns, perfect for making anything from cushion covers and quilts to kitchen accessories and table runners. For anyone who loves rustic, countryside interiors this collection is a dream come true!

Next up in our new arrivals are Birds & Bobbins and Christmas Critters by Craft Cotton Company! These two new (and very cute) fabric collections, lovingly designed by Debbie Shore, are sure to be a new favourite!

Both collections include 5 prints, with Christmas Critters featuring suitably festive ducks, foxes, otters, rabbits and mistletoe, plus a bonus panel to make your own festive gift bag. Birds & Bobbins’ charming designs feature vintage sewing machines, birds and of course, bobbins too! Birds & Bobbins will be arriving in mid-September due to a slight delay, but Christmas Critters is available now for order at Sew-Drops. These two collections can be used effectively in many projects and we plan to make baubles, stockings and sewing machine covers. What ideas will you come up with?

Also arriving soon is the Sweet Bees collection! Due to slight shipping delays in August, this collection is expected to arrive this month but rest assured – these lighthearted designs are guaranteed to be a hit with children and adults alike! This collection, designed by Susybee Fabrics and produced by Clothworks, is composed of 8 fabrics (3 prints, 3 plain textured and 2 panels) and will delight your inner beekeeper.

Susybee Fabrics is headed by Canadian artist Susy Bleasby and the painstaking craftsmanship in her designs speaks for itself. Featuring a lovable cast of characters designed to make you smile, her sewing fabric is perfect for a variety of projects.

Sweet Bees is your one-stop-shop for any and all of your bee-themed projects. Whether it is blankets and quilts for a new nursery or beehive pincushions, this collection is guaranteed to bring joy however it is used!
