Seams Creams & Celtic Dreams – Mar. 2022

Spring has finally sprung! The yellow daffodils and crocuses are in full bloom, the nights are getting lighter and the temperature will soon start heating up. Mother’s day is around the corner (27th March) and we can soon eat chocolate for breakfast for Easter in April. Spring’s the season of all things new, so what’s happening / arriving at Sew-Drops this month? Let’s find out…
Seams Beauty Couturier’s Hand Cream is back… but with a twist. The packaging has changed from the famous yellow to a beautiful stylish blue and gold. There has been no change to the product itself, it still helps to mend and moisturize dry, hard working hands without leaving an oily residue. The cream helps to soften, protect, and strengthen your skin and nails, and is still made with natural ingredients here in the UK with no tests being carried out on animals.
Our first fabric collection for 2022 is the beautiful Lewis and Irene’s ‘Celtic Dreams’. This Celtic-inspired collection will arrive at the end of March and features highland cows, a variety of buzzing bees, and thistles swaying in the breeze! This wonderful collection has a range of designs with beautiful purple hues and pretty hexagons that will be great to use in a variety of projects. I’ll be making some pincushions from this range, but with 7 fabrics to choose from there are endless opportunities to get creative! You could make some cushion covers, tote bags, or even a cosy quilt.
I’m actually celebrating a personal achievement this month… it’s been 5 years since I first started sewing! I came across my first blog, that covers my ‘origin’ story, and the past 5 years flashed before my eyes. It’s wild to think back on all the wonderful things I’ve made and the not so wonderful…we’ve all been there! I feel like I’ve come a long way with my sewing skills and knowledge, and have been fortunate enough to share this experience with all my Sew-Drops!
