Meadowside Magic & More! – Nov. 2022

Hello everyone,
It’s November, which means we’ll be celebrating Bonfire Night, Remembrance Sunday, and of course getting stuck into some Black Friday deals…however it also means that it’s not long until Christmas (only 55 days to go) – by the way, if you haven’t already started to prepare for next month e.g. gifts, etc., then now is the time to start. Let’s see what Sew-Drops has got to offer this month for anyone who loves to sew and craft:-
NEW IN! We’ve got a small selection of fabrics from Cassandra Connolly’s Meadowside collection in stock. This is Cassandra’s second collection with Lewis & Irene – although this is our first time stocking her fabrics – and features beautiful autumnal flora and fauna designs (perfect for the time of year). Just imagine what you could make with this range of fabrics e.g. cushion covers, fabric storage boxes, cosmetic bags, maybe even a dress for yourself or for a child, etc. – the possibilities are endless.
There are two things that drew me towards choosing this collection; The first is the designer herself – Cassandra Connolly is always so kind and helpful whenever I chat with her on social media. I think that being kind to others is one of the nicest qualities a person can have.
The second reason is her love of poetry and storytelling. Every collection tells a story, and with every collection there’s a poem. The ‘Meadowside’ collection was inspired by a meadow close to her home where she walks and each design is inspired by something from that meadow and has its own story. If you’d like to learn more about this collection, Cassandra recently posted a blog on her website which you can read.
This is the last fabric collection that we’ll be getting for 2022, so our ‘COMING SOON’ page is currently looking a bit bare, but I will be adding more products for next year at the end of the year (possibly early January 2023).
Now onto some very important news…
Throughout this month, Royal Mail will be continuing to strike. Here is the full list of strike dates:-
(UPDATE: 11/11/2022) Thursday 24th November, Friday 25th November, Wednesday 30th November, and Thursday 1st December 2022
Unfortunately, because of these strikes, there may be delays to dispatching and receiving your orders. I really wish I could do something to make this all better, but all I ask is that you please don’t leave any Christmas shopping until the last minute! I will try my very, very best to get items out to you as soon as possible, and will keep you up to date on your orders’ progress/dispatch.
Let’s hope something good happens in the next few weeks and the strikes can come to an end.
