Happy Birthday Two Us! – Jul. 2021

Hello Everyone,
I hope you’re all having fun with your sewing and crafting projects. This month, we will be celebrating our 2nd Birthday! I can’t believe that it’s almost been two years since we first launched our business in the UK.
And speaking of birthdays, I’ve recently been making a special gift for my Mum – don’t worry, she already knows about this – who will be celebrating a very special birthday in a few weeks’ time (which I will be posting on social media). Once I’ve finished that, I’m going to come out of my comfort zone and try something completely new…I’m going to have a go at dressmaking! I’ll be honest, the nearest I’ve ever got to doing a ‘dressmaking project’ has been a mini apron, so I’m a little bit nervous, but also very excited to give it a go. I’ve been re-watching ‘The Great British Sewing Bee’ to get some tips, so hopefully, my first attempt at dressmaking won’t be so bad.
Now, it’s time to learn about all the latest products to arrive at Sew-Drops for July 2021:-
For those of you who love Moda Fabrics, then you will be very pleased to hear that we are now an official stockist! In stock, we have 2 x plain/solids collections which will be a necessity for any keen quilter – they are ‘Bella Solids’ by Moda and ‘Thatched’ by Robin Pickens. There will be 24 colours in total (12 x Bella Solids & 12 x Thatched fabrics), and although we currently only have 12 fabrics available, the remaining 12 bolts will be arriving over the Summer period. With that in mind, please be sure to keep checking back on our website, and our social media pages, for any future stock updates.
As of today, we are now stocking a selection of embroidery hoop kits by Oh Sew Bootiful! Made in the UK, each kit comes complete with everything you’ll need to create some truly wonderful hoop art. Similar to the Hawthorn Handmade embroidery hoops (also available to purchase here on our website), the designs are pre-printed onto the fabrics, and are great for complete beginners and advanced stitchers alike!
QUICK UPDATE:- Lewis & Irene’s ‘Keep Believing’ Collection was due to arrive at the end of June, unfortunately, it has been delayed by a couple of weeks ☹ – we’re really hoping that it will be available nearing the end of the month (fingers crossed), but in the meantime, we are currently offering 20% off last year’s extremely popular range, ‘Tomtens Christmas’. We only have a small number of fabric(s) left, so get them while they’re still in stock.

At the end of this month, we will be taking part in ‘Christmas in July’ on social media. Over the 12 days (from 24th Jul. – 4th Aug. 21), we’ll be highlighting our favourite sewing and crafting products to hopefully give you plenty of ideas and inspiration for potential Christmas gifts for 2021.
As I mentioned at the start of this blog, Sew-Drops is celebrating our 2nd birthday on Thursday 15th July 2021. Mark that date on your calendars because we will be doing something special during that week. An announcement will be made on our social media pages (and here on the website) leading up to the w/c Monday 12th July 2021.
We have also added two NEW fabric collections to our ‘COMING SOON’ page. They are Craft Cotton Company’s ‘Birds & Bobbins’, due to arrive end of July 2021, featuring Debbie Shore’s beautiful sketches, plus Susybee Fabric’s ‘Sweet Bees’ collection which is due to arrive in August 2021.
