Alright, Sew What’s New? – Aug. 2020

Saturday 1st August 2020

Hi Everyone,

There’s been plenty of things happening at Sew-Drops over the last few weeks; we celebrated our 1st Birthday (thank you to everyone who sent us ‘Happy Birthday’ messages), saw the arrival of some brand new products, and even took part in our very first Christmas in July 2020 event. Here are just some of our highlights:

At the beginning of July 2020, we welcomed Liberty Fabrics Winterbourne House Collection. 11 x bolts from the Pink/Jewel range (my personal favourite from the 3 available colour ranges) of rich berry, grey/white and navy fabrics. This mini collection has a lovely floral and vintage charm, and if you’re looking for something that matches that description for your own sewing projects, then this is the fabric for you.

Nearing the end of July, Sew-Drops got festive as we decided to take part in our very 1st Christmas in July event by doing our own 12 Days of Christmas in July. To kick things off, we launched the Tomten’s Christmas Collection by Lewis & Irene and with illustrations by Eva Melhuish, and as many of you have already seen (via social media), this particular collection has turned out to be EXTREMELY popular! So, if I were you, I’d get these fabrics into your fabric stash and pronto because they are selling FAST!

As well as fabrics, we’ve got some brand NEW Art to Heart Quilting Books! Written and designed by Nancy Halvorsen, and published between 1999-2010, these beautiful books include a wide range of sewing projects to make and do all year round. There’s easy to follow instructions and the measurements for each of the projects in these books come in both inches and yards.

Now before I forget, I’d like to mention that our 12 Days of Christmas in July is still on! We’ve got another 5 days left before it comes to an end, but there’s still plenty of nice (and possibly new) things to come.

For example, starting today (1st August 2020), we are offering 10% Off SEAMS Beauty Couturiers Hand Cream – Made in Britain with natural ingredients and not tested on animals, this go-to hand cream would make a lovely gift for someone who wants to soften, protect and strengthen their skin and nails. Offer Ends Wednesday 5th August at 10:00 am (a.k.a. Day 12 of the ‘12 Day of Christmas in July’).

More festive gift ideas for our ‘12 Days of Christmas in July’ will be revealed over the next 4 days, so be sure to check out our social media pages for any new updates.

NEW products arriving in August 2020:-

Firstly, in Mid-August, Lewis & Irene’s ‘Iona’ Collection will be arriving. A Celtic inspired collection with a coastal twist; featuring cute seals, whales and puffins, plus a touch of silver and copper metallic in each of the prints (except the bumbleberries fabrics).

Another Lewis & Irene collection that will be arriving is ‘The Orchard’; an Autumnal collection of fabrics inspired by the fruit trees in the last of the summer sun. This collection will feature trees, fruits and busy squirrels collecting supplies for the months ahead. We’re expecting this collection to arrive at the end of August 2020, although it could be early September.

These fabric collections can’t arrive soon enough! They both look so nice. Both these collections have now been added to our COMING SOON section. So, take a look and start planning out your sewing projects – I know I am 🙂

Finally, the Sew-Drops E-Newsletter for Autumn 2020 will be sent via email to all subscribers on the 1st September 2020. If you would like to subscribe to our E-Newsletter, you can by going to our Homepage and scroll down until you find the NEWSLETTER section.

Well that’s all for August’s blog, thank you all so much for reading – I’m really looking forward to September’s Blog, with more updates on the latest news and products arriving at Sew-Drops! ?

Best Wishes,
Rebecca x
