A Summer Full of Sewing! – Jul. 2024

Hello everyone,
It’s only a couple more weeks until the summer holidays kick off. I’m really looking forward to 6 weeks of fun, and hopefully a little bit of sun too. It’s been unusually wet and chilly of late, considering it’s late June / early July.
Anyway, I have lots of exciting things to share, so let’s get started…
New Fabrics: ‘Sandy Toes’ by Clothworks –
This is such a bright and fresh looking collection, perfect for any costal-themed sewing projects you’re planning to do. Featuring beautiful designs and motifs on a coastal colour palette of blue and sepia, it is sure to make you crave those fun days at the beach. ‘Sandy Toes’ is available now on our website.
Something Worth Celebrating (5 years and counting) –
This month, on the 15th of July, it will officially be 5 YEARS since I launched Sew-Drops! I say this every year, but…where does the time go? I remember it so well; sitting at my computer, waiting for my website to go live to the world. I was so nervous, hoping and praying that everything went to plan for me – thankfully it did. I’d like to take a moment to say thank you to each and every one of you who has supported this little business; Whether you’ve placed an order, or liked / followed me on social media…it all helps Sew-Drops to grow.
I’m hoping to do something fun (but different) on the day to celebrate this very special anniversary. Be sure to keep an eye out on my social media pages for a special birthday post. 🙂
Did I hear someone say Christmas Fabrics? –
I know there’s still 6 months left till Christmas, but if like me, you’re into your arts and crafts, then you’ll probably be getting ready to make things for upcoming Christmas markets and craft fairs.
So, at the end of July, we’ll be getting in a lovely festive collection called ‘Down Tinsel Lane’. This range has been designed by Australian-based designer, Anni Downs, owner of Hatched and Patched, and is going to be very different (style-wise) to any of the Christmas fabrics we’ve stocked in the past. She has collaborated with Henry Glass Fabrics to bring us this stunning collection of fabrics. I can’t wait for these to arrive.
Coming Soon: Brand New Liberty Fabric Collection –
I’ve saved the best piece of news till the end. It’s been awhile since we’ve had any “new” fabric collections from Liberty, so I’m very excited to announce today that in early August, we will be stocking one of Liberty’s brand new fabric collections…’Postcard from the Highlands’.
