Hello, I’m Rebecca – the proud owner of Sew-Drops Ltd.
Sew-Drops is a ‘Mother & Daughter’ run business. I have been sewing for over 2 years now. I am City & Guilds Accredited in Patchwork & Quilting, Skill Stage 2 and I have recently completed Skill Stage 3. I absolutely LOVE to sew, so to be able to make my biggest passion/hobby into a full-time business is amazing!
We are Official Stockists of Liberty Fabrics, Free Spirit, Lewis & Irene, Windham, and In the Beginning Fabrics. We are also proud to offer CORINNE LAPIERRE Felt Kits. We also sell a variety of Handmade Gifts.
We’re also looking into being able to sell Threads and possibly even Sewing Equipment e.g. cutting mats, rulers, etc. in the future.
As well as stocking fabrics and kits, I enjoy creating my own products e.g. Home Décor, Bags, Table-Runners, Decorations, Wall-Hangings, Cushion Covers etc. I love to learn and experiment with different ideas – I’m very artistic and like to create my own designs sometimes based on things I personally love e.g. I’ve made things based on my favourite books/films, but I find it’s great to just sit down with a pad and paper and come up with something new.
Once I’ve created something, it will appear in our Handmade Gifts section.
With all products I make, I am sure that my work is professional, neat and precise, as well as unique in design. Trust me when I say that I am very conscientious with my work – if I’m not happy with it, it doesn’t leave the house.
All my products are made with YOU in mind; whether they’re for home decor, gifts for friends and family, or if you just want to treat yourself to something nice.
Now I know what some of you are thinking, why are we called Sew-Drops? I chose the name as a reference to one of my favourite flowers, the snowdrop – and after a while the name just stuck. They say that the snowdrop symbolizes hope, the beginning of something new and gaining confidence.
Also, some of you may be wondering why there is an Otter holding a snowdrop on the Homepage? Well, he is my Business Mascot. Unfortunately, he doesn’t have a name yet, but I’m working on it. I chose an Otter as my mascot firstly because I simply ADORE otters, and plus the two coincide with each other (if you type into Google ‘otter and snowdrops’ there are photos of actual otters with snowdrops).
So now you know a little bit more about Sew-Drops, but if you still have any questions, or perhaps any comments you’d like to share with me, then you can contact me via our Facebook or Instagram page(s) or email me at [email protected]
